Back in October I featured on here an unusual commission that I had been working on and promised to show you more when the project was complete. Well I am pleased to say it is now finished and my customer was delighted with the result!
There are so many photos that I thought it would be easier to feature it as a slide show....so here we go....from the very beginning as just an empty Victorian smokers cabinet, through all its different stages.... to its completion as a hospital ward based at Xmas in wartime Britain during the 1940s. It was great fun to do!
Special thanks must go to Robin Britton of Coombe Crafts for creating Mr Patient and Miss Nurse http://www.coombecrafts.co.uk/
Hope you like it!

Brilliant :) Beautifully put together
Thanks Stefanie and Robin for your kind comments. Being a techno idiot..am quite chuffed at creating the sliding box of pics too! Celia
What a fabulous idea! The detail is wonderful. Robin's dolls are perfect. I love it!
BTW can you put on a link to where you made the slideshow? I tried one once but yours works much better. Pan x
I created it as a Gif using Ulead Animator 5..some software hubby had....is that any help to you? Just looked up on internet and they have a website: www.ulead.com Celia
Oh yes, that's great! I shall have a look. Thank you. The slideshow is great :-)
Love the way you portrayed your pictures, the slideshow was a great way to do this.It is no wonder your customer is pleased, you captured the scene perfectly. Mini Blessings, L J
Fantastic, so much detail! I love the lamps and the tea trolley and the decorations. Can just imagine a night nurse sitting here with the glow of the lamp, having a cuppa to keep her awake :-)
Thanks for your kind comments ladies. Welcome Lady Jane to KT Miniatures Journal.
Rebecca, my lovely customer was quite specific in what she wanted which was really helpful. Researching for this particular scene was fascinating. Although in the end I had to say that by pure chance I was watching Atonement (the film) and found the hospital scenes totally inspiring. Celia
