KT Miniatures Brand New Workshop

I am delighted to announce that at last booking is now open for KT Miniatures brand new workshop of 2018.

The Early 1900s German Style Kitchen Workshop

Do you fancy coming to join us at one of our workshops? You will be very welcome and it should be great fun.  I am offering two options of workshop kits...

Option 1 : Early 1900s German Style Kitchen Workshop -   Main Room Box With Furniture & Accessories Kit @ £105.00
Are you an antique and vintage dolls house collector who has been wanting an antique German kitchen but unable to find one at an affordable price? Well, at this workshop for just a fraction of the cost of a genuine antique one, you can make your own. Or are you a miniaturist seeking a workshop where you can create a miniature room setting that is just that little bit different? If so, then this first workshop option that contains the kitchen room box plus the furniture & accessories kit, may be perfect for you.

Option 2: Early 1900s German Style Kitchen Workshop - Furniture & Accessories Kit Only (No Main Room Box) @ £89.00
Are you an antique and vintage dolls house collector with an empty dolls house kitchen that needs furnishing? Or are you are a miniaturist who has run out of room for any more large projects and would prefer to just make the furniture and accessories for your own display or project. If the answer is yes, then this second workshop option may be ideal for you.

There are two dates, either Saturday April 21st or Saturday May 19th and the workshop is being held in the Conference Room at Bicester Avenue Garden Centre just off junction 9 of the M40.

The kitchen room box is made from MDF with a base/back and two sides. It will already be constructed and primed white for you to save valuable workshop time.  Included with both kit options are materials and instructions to make a German style dresserchairside tablekitchen range and wall shelf, plus various assorted kitchen accessories, and a KT Miniatures reproduction German style wall frieze border. Advice will be on hand to help inspire you and explore various decorative options for your kitchen, including a paint effect tiled floor. This is very much a versatile project which you can adapt and decorate to suit your own taste and needs. Click on the following link for more details:

If you wish to book a place, please do get in touch with me asap as places are limited to 6-8 people at each session, and already both sessions are half full.

Liza Antrim's New Book Is Out Now!

Author Liza Antrim has been in touch and asked me to let you all know that her second book -

FAMILY & FRIENDS' DOLL'S HOUSES
OF THE 17TH, 18TH & 19TH CENTURIES

is now available to purchase from Cider House Books.

My own copy is winging its way to me as I type, and if Liza's second book is anything like her first book - then it will be a "must have" for any discerning antique and vintage dolls house collector. Not to be missed!

2018 Here We Come!

As I move officially into my 22nd year of trading with KT Miniatures (OMG that makes me sound so old), I would like to wish everyone

A Very Happy New Year!

Let's hope that 2018 will be kind to us all.
The window of my "Little Toy Shop" lit up at night,  which sits above my studio desk, and gives great pleasure as well as inspiration.
KT Miniatures is now open again for business after the festive break. Hope you all had a fabulous time! I am pleased to say that we had a quiet and uneventful Christmas, with just immediate family - which was rather nice.

Plans for the KT Miniatures 2018 Workshop in the spring/early summer are moving forward and I hope to have confirmation of dates plus comprehensive details of the workshop project very shortly. Unfortunately though, I have had to withdraw from next month's Thame Dolls House Fair - sorry folks.
